Nora Midye at a Glance

•Nora Midye began investing in mussel farming in 2015 within the province of Balıkesir; the journey that started with 50,000 m² of sea area now continues over 500,000 m².•In a sector that was entirely import-dependent for materials, equipment and know-how in its early years, Nora Midye — drawing on years of experience — supported regional production and domestic machinery, equipment and consumable projects, making most of its supply chain locally sourceable not only for itself but for the whole industry.•Taking its production capacity and infrastructure to the top of mussel production, Nora Midye continued investing toward becoming an integrated facility and established Turkey's first integrated mussel processing plant.•Produced in our processing facility operating to European standards, our products have earned their place on chain-supermarket shelves.•Having invested over €10,000,000 in the region over the last 10 years, our company places great importance on local — and especially female — employment, growing its workforce beyond 50 staff.•Having set processed-mussel exports as its primary goal for 2026, Nora Midye continues to raise its production and investment targets.
